Regent Seven Seas Cruises Overview

Regent Seven Seas Cruises
Regent Seven Seas Cruises Overview

Regent Seven Seas is regularly ranked among the top luxury cruise experiences, and was recently voted "World"s Best Small Cruise Line" by Travel + Leisure magazine readers. The line, previously known as Radisson Seven Seas, has built its reputation on a luxurious, all-inclusive cruising experience that is sophisticated without being stuffy - think country club casual, with all the fine amenities you could want. The line travels to hundreds of destinations on six continents, including Antarctica, on beautiful small- to mid-size ships.

Regent Cruises All-Inclusive Value

Regent Seven Seas prides itself on offering an all-inclusive luxury experience; even before you step onboard, all your worries are taken care of, from airfare to dining to on-shore activities. Amenities like unlimited shore excursions, pre-paid gratuities, and free unlimited Wi-Fi are just some of the distinguishing features of a Regent cruise. All meals and beverages are included in your cruise fare, as well as a stocked in-suite bar filled with your favorite liquor, wine, or champagne.

In addition to these all-inclusive features, the ships themselves offer a luxurious environment in which to unwind and enjoy some R&R. Regent's ships have a superb staff-to-guest ratio of nearly 1 to 1.5, and each ship has no more than 375 suites. With guests numbering in the hundreds instead of the thousands, you won't have to wait in any long lines or get lost in the crowd aboard a Regent cruise.

Regent Cruises Ships

Regent's award-winning fleet of ships includes four elegant vessels: the Seven Seas Explorer, Seven Seas Mariner, Seven Seas Voyager, and Seven Seas Navigator. The ships carry between 490 and 750 guests, and you'll be in fine company with like-minded cruise travelers. Regent's highly attentive staff is always on hand should you need something, though they know when to give you peace and quiet, too. The entire Regent fleet boasts all-suite ships, and a large majority have private balconies to enjoy the sights and sounds of the ocean. Once onboard, you can enjoy impeccable dining, exciting enrichment opportunities, and plenty of live entertainment as you sail from one destination to the next.

Regent Cruises Destinations

With more than 450 destinations around the world, Regent offers a plethora of different itineraries reaching almost every corner of the globe. Sail to Africa, Asia, Alaska, Europe, the Caribbean, or South America - the opportunities are endless, and there's something for everyone, whether you're looking for a tropical getaway, a trek into the great outdoors, or a city-hopping vacation.

Regent Cruises Accommodations

Perhaps the most important part of a luxury cruise is your personal space, and Regent's all-suite accommodations guarantee comfort. Suites range from a modest 300 square feet to an over-the-top 4,400 square feet, with elegant decor, marble-accented bathrooms, spacious closets and a separate sitting area in each suite. You can choose from a European king-sized bed or twin bed accommodations, and in every bathroom you'll find L'Occitane soaps and lotions, plush bathrobes and slippers, and a hair dryer. Every guest can enjoy complimentary 24-hour room service, including dinner served course-by-course if you'd like a romantic night in. Upon embarkation, you'll be greeted by a welcome bottle of champagne, as well as an in-suite mini bar filled with your favorite soft drinks, beer, and bottled water. Other amenities include a private safe, television and video player, and private butler service offered to guests in room categories B and above.

Regent Cruises Dining

Regent takes dining seriously onboard, and knows you want to be flexible with your schedule. As such, you can eat whenever you want, with whomever you want at various open-seating restaurants, including the flagship Compass Rose. This restaurant features European-inspired dishes, as well as vegetarian, kosher, and health-conscious options. La Veranda is a buffet-style open-seating option, serving a mix of regional specialties and classic dishes for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Specialty dining is available by reservation at Prime 7 steakhouse, Pacific Rim (Pan-Asian cuisine), and the chic Parisian restaurant Chartreuse.

For a casual snack or lunch, you can stop by the pool grill or order room service, available 24 hours a day. During dinner hour, you can request to dine course-by-course in suite, where a server will bring your order from Compass Rose.

Regent Cruises Kids & Teens

Kids are warmly welcomed onboard Regent Seven Seas Cruises. During the summer months and holiday seasons, Club Mariner is offered to keep young cruisers engaged and entertained. Children are split into two age groups - 6 to 11 and 12 to 17 - and are supervised by counselors leading age-appropriate activities like board games, arts and crafts projects, movies, pizza parties, and galley tours. Teens get to help counselors choose their preferred activities.

Infants must be one year of age at the time of sailing to cruise with Regent. Guests under age 18 must stay in a suite with an adult age 18 or older.

Regent Cruises Onboard Activities & Entertainment

You'll never be bored on a Regent Seven Seas cruise... if anything, you may have trouble deciding what to do first. Of course, there's always the pool deck, where you can take a dip, soak up the sun on a lounge chair, or jog around the track for a bit of exercise. The deck is also home to a golf driving net, table tennis, and shuffleboard, plus a warm whirlpool to relax in any time of day. Inside, you can play games or pick up a book in the library, check your email in the internet cafe, or learn something new at an enrichment program. Regent brings on experts in a range of fields to educate guests on everything from wine pairings to ancient history to current events, and even offers hands-on cooking classes with Le Cordon Bleu-trained chefs.

The onboard spa is the place to go when you need some pampering; treatments include manicure and pedicures, acupuncture, facials, skin care services, and massages. You can also work out in the gym solo or take a group fitness class like Pilates.

In the evenings, the casino is a popular spot to hang out, as is the show lounge, where you can watch music, dance, and theater performances from Regent's team of professionals. Each ship has several lounges and bars to grab a drink from, as well as the Connoisseur Club for those who enjoy a fine cigar.
